Cambridge Education winner of the Education Investor Awards 2010: Consultants of the YearAt the awards ceremony on 16 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, Cambridge Education received the 'Consultant of the Year' award for four exemplar projects - three BSF and one Academy project with combined fees of £1.4 million: the fast and effective Tower Hamlets BSF programme (Clients: Bouygues UK) where we drove educationally led design with an innovative forum of architect practices; successful fast-tracking of the City Academy Norwich (CAN) using an integrated team to provide end-to-end services across all deliverables and against a greatly reduced budget from the client (DCSF); delivering Change Management in Sandwell BSF - where we are represented on the Local Education Partnership Board - and using Cambridge Education’s innovative Web 2 tool to record, share and scale the system to all staff and students; using another of Cambridge Education's tools, the Activity Modeller, to translate styles of learning and teaching into schedules of accommodation in the Bournemouth and Poole BSF programme.  Cambridge Education's Marie Boyd-Clarke and Andy Guest receive the 'Consultants of the Year Award' from Harry Hyman, Publisher of Education Investor magazine.
The judges, drawn from the CBI; McKinsey and Co; the Association of Colleges; the think-tank Reform; the multi-academy sponsor E-ACT and the Local Government Association, noted the significant difference Cambridge Education is making in the UK and internationally. Cambridge Education has worked on 22 consortium BSF schemes as education, ICT and partnering advisers, has supported seven Local Authorities at various stages of procurement and has also worked on 25 Academy projects. We have developed a wide range of innovative tools and practices to support educational transformation and provide value-for-money. Marie Boyd-Clarke, who has led the Schools for the Future Team, received the award on behalf of Cambridge Education. |
