Education asset management planning and capital investment strategies for Local Authorities
School buildings are central to the government's agenda for school improvement, extended schools and Every Child Matters.
In addition, the building and accommodation must meet the requirements of 14-19 provision and the evolving secondary school curriculum.
As both schools and Local Authorities will be looking to gain maximum value from the various funding streams available, they will have to work together on capital investment planning.
Local Authorities will also have to plan within the wider context of their education estate. Success at this stage will depend on the quality of the survey data that will inform the Local Authority's asset management policy.

We can:
- review existing investment plans;
- investigate Building Schools for the Future funding;
- carry out a health check on existing asset management planning before inspection;
- review and update the Asset Management Planning and Local Policy Statement;
- manage school surveys;
- input data to proprietary and in-house asset management planning systems;
- audit existing data on condition and suitability;
- carry out curriculum analysis and capacity measurement in schools;
- review staffing structure and project management capacity.
