Christ’s College and Pond Meadow redevelopment – Surrey County Council
We worked with the Local Authority and both schools to develop a vision for ICT that promoted their desired aspirations for a learning environment that used leading technology to promote personalised learning in an inclusive and innovative environment.
We developed this vision into a detailed functional specification and ICT Strategy that met the education needs of the schools and was fully integrated into the design solution.
At Stage E we delivered a solution that was both affordable and technically feasible. We worked in close partnership with the design team to maximise the impact on the learning environment and bespoke FF&E items to provide access for end users to ICT at the time and point of need.
The ICT solution for both projects was then undertaken as a joint procurement process whilst still meeting the unique needs of Pond Meadow School to provide best value to both schools.
Pond Meadow School runs parallel age based classes for pupils with complex, profound and medical needs. Some of the exciting and innovative work carried out by Cambridge Education included introducing interactive whiteboards for use by staff and students for the first time. Breakout learning Zones were also created. We were able to contribute to the implementation of an AV specialist system in the main hall by ensuring that a specialist projector and wall surface were installed whilst collaborating with the Audio specialist to create a full AV system with a hearing field system.
