Pre-inspection briefings and mock inspections

Pre-inspection briefings and mock inspections

With the new Standards for accreditation of British schools overseas now approved by the former DCSF, now Department for Education (DFE), Cambridge Education can help you to be fully prepared for your accreditation inspection.

Who is it suitable for?
Schools that want to experience how new inspections of British schools overseas will be carried out and the impact this will have on their senior management and staff.

What is it?
An experienced lead inspector will review your school documents, any assessment data and, if appropriate, previous reviews or inspection reports to prepare an interim pre-inspection briefing. This will be followed by a full mock inspection using the new criteria which will enable your staff to prepare fully for a real inspection. Finally, you will receive a written report highlighting strengths and weaknesses and recommendations for development.

Key benefits and outcomes

  • Maximise your ability to become an accredited British School overseas.
  • Learn how to be more effectively involved in the inspection so that you have maximum influence over the outcomes.
  • Attend inspection team meetings to appreciate how judgements are made.
  • Plan for your inspection from a position of knowledge. Fully understand the new inspection arrangements.
  • Agree issues for improvement.
