Accreditation for global links
Through accreditation you can gain professional recognition for the difference you make.
As a professional, your school partnership work may afford you opportunities to gain postgraduate accreditation - perhaps a certificate, a diploma or as part of a Masters degree. It may involve a piece of action research, some curriculum development, or a professional portfolio. Make the work you are doing for your global link part of your professional development.
If you are involved in a Comenius project you can use your learning as a part of your professional development at a university and gain accreditation. Opportunities are available in all the UK nations.
As part of the DFID Global School Partnerships programme, Cambridge Education Foundation is identifying accreditation options available to UK and Southern country teachers. Many of the options in the UK are not aimed solely at teachers. The common theme is experience of global school partnerships and global education. If you are a teacher or other professional seeking accreditation for the work you are doing in your global partnership, you may want to know more. Download our FAQs sheet (pdf, 99kb)
