Cambridge Education Foundation Ghanaian visitCambridge Education Foundation’s partnership with a community outside Accra, Ghana, was celebrated when Richard Birch was presented with a ‘chief’s shirt’ by the partnership’s leader Solomon Appiah.
The shirt is the traditional dress worn by community leaders in the northern region of Ghana. The community partnership is developing a training school for girls who have left school with no qualifications. The training, offered by fully qualified seamstresses, will provide girls with skills for life and a means of earning a living. Further information about the community partnership |
