The first batch of students completing their six-month diploma course on the Global Education and Learning were felicitated with certificates at the graduation programme organized by the British Council Global School Partnerships (GSP) Programme and Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED) on Friday.

Cambridge Education Foundation (CEF), our not-for-profit- arm, is currently working to build a training school in the village of Kpone Saduase in Ghana. Many of our young professionals have helped in the design and construction of the building, which will give local people the opportunity to develop skills, such as carpentry and dress-making.

Cambridge Education recently signed a contract with the Government of Punjab in Pakistan to support education reforms in the province.

Cambridge Education Foundation’s partnership with a community outside Accra, Ghana, was celebrated when Richard Birch was presented with a ‘chief’s shirt’ by the partnership’s leader Solomon Appiah.

In January 2010, an inception workshop was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to launch the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA)-funded Labour market study. The Labour market study is being carried out by Cambridge Education, in association with local firm MEC Consulting LLC

Cambridge Education has recently finished successfully supporting the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates to evaluate schools in the northern Emirates.

These schools had volunteered to participate in a pilot to establish the current standards of their educational system. The Ministry is keen to ensure that the quality of education in all its schools, both state and private, meets the required standards.

We believe that unless global learning is incorporated into the everyday learning experiences of our young people through different curriculum areas, education is not going to help to bridge the cultural and economic divides that are prevalent today.
