Providing universal access to early childhood care and education for 4-6 year olds

This think piece, by Linda Biersteker, discusses the international impetus for scale up of early childhood care and education services, how low and middle-income countries are responding, and key lessons from these experiences that are worth noting for the scale up of ECCE services in Uganda.

This is the first in a series of think pieces produced as part of Cambridge Education’s work with the Government of Uganda.

Through funding from the Global Partnership for Education, Cambridge Education is currently working with the Ugandan Ministry of Education and Sports to develop a revised 2018 early childhood care and education policy.
