We work in partnership with many organisations to help raise the standards of children's services across the UK.
We've worked with government and public sector organisations such as the Department for Education, Ofsted and local authorities since 1987. Together, we focus on many of the key issues in children's services today including raising achievement, performance management, inspection, teacher training, and the development of national initiatives.
The work is often complex and challenging and we take pride in our achievements – earned through high standards of professional advice, outstanding project management, and commitment to getting the most from our professional partnerships.
We have a strong and diverse record of working in partnership with local authorities adding value to the provision of existing services by drawing on innovation and experience from our international education business.
We can add value through the direct intervention of our high quality staff and by proactively building capacity by developing existing staff.
An innovative partnership between Barnet Council and Cambridge Education sees us deliver the full range of council education and skills services available to support schools and families, including school improvement, school admissions, services for children with special educational needs. The partnership has guaranteed savings to the council, predominantly through income growth – not service cuts, as a result of marketing and selling services to more schools and to other local authorities.
"The arrangement will help us make sure the education offer in Barnet remains among one of the best in the country while enabling us to make savings." Andrew Travers, Chief Executive Barnet Council (2017)
Sustainable results through focused management
We have delivered measurably improved outcomes in attainment, Ofsted judgements and rates of absence in Slough with every maintained school now judged by Ofsted to be good or outstanding – only two other local authorities have achieved this.
